It was a beautiful sunny day (the first in a while), so we decided to take a drive to visit the temple in the mountains overlooking Plum Blossom Lake.
We called Stu, Rory and Tiffany and they came along too (on their motorbikes)...
We ended up taking a few wrong turns as it was a bit hazy so we couldn't really see the temple in the mountains, and then we tried asking for directions, but realised we were being directed in the wrong direction! LOL
So we carried on driving in the direction we "thought" it might be and sure enough we found it! Even though it took a lot longer getting there than it should have, we all enjoyed the drive and the scenery!
We arrived at the temple and there were loads of people and tables all laid out with food and drinks. I am not too sure what the "celebration" was all about, this is when I wish I could speak the language so I could find out more about what they were doing, anyway, we took a walk around, and of course took photos, and then headed for the hiking trail...
We took a walk (a long walk, well, for me it was long! LOL).... The boys thoroughly enjoyed it, picking up sticks and running along the path... Of course, nervous, panicked mom was just worried about snakes and them falling off the path into the ravine!!! LOL
Then we went onto the island in the middle of the lake. It was really beautiful!
On the way home we stopped in at McDonalds for dinner - the kids loved it (so did we!)... except Asia-Faith screamed every time we took her near Ronald McDonald (you know the clown?)... she does not like him at all!!!
~* Peace and Love *~
