Yesterday was CC's graduation from kindergarten - very sweet - they sang songs and danced and put on plays.
The older kids demonstrated their uni-cycle abilities - very good! (Apparently the school is famous for the uni-cycling).
W-R made a friend - the young boy who was the lead in one of the plays came and sat by us and gave W-R some play money to play "ching-chong-cha", and then said he could keep the money!
I also met another foreinger (from the States), Rebecca, she has been teaching here in Kinmen for 2 years, and speaks chinese really well. She said she had been told there were other foreigners on the island and now she had finally met us.
After the graduation we went home and the boys were nagging to go to the beach, so Una and Allan said they were going to go at about 5pm - but the boys were nagging to go asap - so J took them and we were going to meet them there later. We drove around for about 1hour trying to find the beach - but couldn't, so we ended up going home, (they were already home 'cos they got tired of waiting for us), so I still didn't get to see the beach!!! Una and Allan then went with their kids to the beach for a while.
Later on in the evening J suggests we all go for pizza, so all 10 of us get into the car to get pizza in Jincheng - and we ended up sitting at a baseball park (needless to say, W-R was thrilled) eating our "meat" pizza and drinking coke! Yum!!! There was also a playground there, which the kids loved, and we ended up going home at about 9:30pm!!!
Then this afternoon, we all went to the beach - it is absolutely stunning!!!! They have only just opened this beach to the public, and they have jet skii's and "rubber boat" kind of things that they tie to the jet ski to pull people around - the kids loved it. Even T-R, who is not too keen on the water, went on it, and when he came back I asked him if it was cool and he said "not too cool, but ok" - but he at least enjoyed it!
Tapassi then arrived at the beach and bought us all some kind of tea or soup (I wasn't sure), with bread and nuts - very sweet of him!
We eventually left the beach at about 8pm (the life guards or guys that work there were actually very patient, we didn't realise they were waiting for us to leave, but they were waiting so they could turn off the lights).
We got home - the boys had a shower and a sarmie for dinner and fell asleep very quickly!
J and I had dinner with Una and Allan - we had a Kinmen version of a burger - basically meat that isn't meat, with cucumber and tomato on a dough roll - it was actually very nice!

~* Peace and Love *~
