Happy Birthday My Love

First I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my love, it's his birthday today.

Well it has been waaaaayyyyyy too long since I last posted, but I have good reason!

We have moved from Kinmen to Pingtung in Taiwan.

We moved rather suddenly as the new school term was beginning and J wasn't too happy with the school he was with so decided to go to Taiwan and seek other opportunities. Well he left on the Thursday, August 17th (what a terrible day that was, a day I will never forget, refer back to the entry titled "The Worst Day of my Life").

Anyway on Saturday J had an interview with his present school, and by Saturday evening myself and the boys were on a plane to be with him!

We are now living in Donggang, which is in Pingtung County, near Kaohsiung, in the south of Taiwan. We have a lovely 3 bedroom apartment on the 10th floor, which is fully secured - so no boys can abseil out any windows or balconies! We have cable tv and finally adsl! (I have been going through withdrawls without my cyberspace connections!).

So we are really happy. Since the apartment was unfurnished, we have had to furnish it, but we are going for the "minimalistic" look! At least we have a washing machine (1st on my priority list - I tried handwashing when we first got here - but that is for the birds!), and a fridge, and other basics, so we are doing ok.

The boys all had their hair cut - it is just way too hot here for them to keep their hair long! But that was another experience, going to the hair salon and trying to explain what I wanted for the boys hair - I didn't want the "traditional" short back and sides! But we managed to get through to them with pictures and sign language!

Jason is teaching at a really good school, they actually have 3 different schools that he teaches at, and sometimes the boys go with. His boss is also really great, him and his wife Carol really go out of their way to help us!
